"Suffering in silence as we sit in the pews is not our portion. The magic is the hope and faith in our healing and growing to be our best self!"
-Stefanie Hughes, M3 Founder
Society has begun to explore and consider a new framework of the value of the need for mental health services and remove the stigma that was previously attached to it. Mocha Mental Magic seeks to take this new found societal discovery to the next level by empowering and educating people of color on the many many facets to consider when choosing a therapist.
M3, is a platform to highlight mental health professionals and their specialty areas. A living interactive directory of mental wellness professionals that can be explored to determine the right fit for you.
"What's truly magical is when we realize our healing begins when we believe that we matter too."
- Tavara Franklin, M3 Partner
Trauma is tricky. Well the spirit that attaches when trauma is experienced is tricky. It can distract you a whole lifetime. The enemy uses trauma to trap us into a mindset that keeps us from our purpose and calling. When we refuse or are unaware that we have experienced trauma, we unknowingly create a barrier to our healing. I really believe in therapy but I believe that therapy needs God’s hands on it to aide us in truly healing.
Experiencing the Magic of Mental Health
Our culture overall has viewed mental health in a negative light and most are closed off when speaking of their mental health.
“We are taught to keep our business to ourselves and if we have a problem, suck it up and keep going. And as a result, we are a very resilient people! I take great pride in what our ancestors have instilled in us. As a people, we have conquered many things while suffering in silence emotionally. I simply represent a generation that has explored therapy as an option. I believe everybody goes through something at some point in life. Our ancestors dealt with some of the same things we deal with at present. You can choose therapy and go through a challenge in 3,6 or 9 months or you can do like our ancestors and go through that same challenge in 5, 10, or 15 years. Neither is right or wrong but you do have a choice.”, Founder, Stefanie Hughes states.
